It’s an extra good day when I get to create a turquoise mala for you. They don’t roll around very often so when they do it’s pretty hard not to fall completely in love.
Handmade traditionally, hand knotted between each and every one of the 108 beads with complimenting cord, making for a strong and yet graceful necklace.
The beads are natural turquoise, 4 × 6 mm rectangle cubes in beautiful blues and gorgeous greens. I made the leather tassel with a luxurious and rich Colorado Buckskin in the Saddle color to highlight the turquoise beads and pendant.
That pendant portion is thick chunk of Kingman Turquoise , set in a home of fine and sterling silver, surrounded by hand stamped details, forming a forever bloom. It measures a generous 7/8” wide, is 1 1/2” tall, including the bail and is finished with a patina and soft polish.
The mala measures 30” long, with an additional 4 1/2” of leather tassel.
Turquoise is known as a stone of protection and luck, worn as a talisman against negative energy and for safe travel.
