Blooming Variscite Cuff
Blooming…
Wow. I could probably stop there but I do want to say just a couple words about it.
I found this Variscite stone at a local gem show, cut by a local gal and as soon as I saw I knew what I was going to make with it. It had to hang out and patiently wait for sunflower season but it’s time is now!
Surrounded by lots and lots of hand stamped sunflower petals, the gorgeous green stone has a home in fine and sterling silver. The cuff is a split shank design, built for comfort and solid support to that good sized stone.
The setting measures 1 1/2” wide/tall on a 6” sterling silver base, with a 1 1/4” opening. This cuff is made and best suited for medium sized wrists, based on how you prefer to wear your cuffs of course. Please adjust carefully when you first wear it. To find your sweet spot, put it on from the narrow and thin side of wrist and shift it into place on the wider, flat side of your wrist. Give it a gentle squeeze if needed and you should never need to adjust again. Remove in the same way, hold hand over cuff, turn it towards the thinner side of wrist and slide off.
I hope you enjoy this bloom…thanks for being here at DBG.
