Bloom on…
Turquoise and reclaimed silver are two of my favorite things. And when they end up in a substantial ring like this, life is good!
Hubei Turquoise, with all those insanely cool colors are right at home in my 5R design of repurposed, reclaimed, recycled, redeemed and reloved silver. Silver from all walks of life, gets a new one when I melt it all down, roll it out nice and thick, letting it have the Live Edge we all love so much.
*Reclaiming silver like I do takes much longer than using purchased, perfect sheet metal and that is just one of the reasons it is so special to me. In the extra time it takes to melt down old, broken jewelry or silverware I am reminded of just why handmade is so important. The process of seeing something that is no longer being loved become lovable again cannot be matched by anything else. It is worth every tired muscle, cramped hand and smashed finger…I love what I do and am so grateful you do too.
The wider band is hand stamped with the reminder to ‘bloom on’ and measures 7/16” at it’s widest. The stone and it’s setting measures 1/2” wide x 11/16” tall x 1/4” deep. The size 5.5 ring is finished with a rich patina and soft polish.
