Grounded…
I know I need that reminder. And there aren’t many better ways to get that than getting outside.
My Live Edge pieces originated from a place of renewal, a need to be made and feel whole. I took broken, discarded old jewelry, scrap silver, designs that didn’t work out…I melted it all down and rolled it out, letting it organically take on a new shape and in that process it was made lovable again. They ended up being called my 5R style of Repurposed, Reclaimed, Redeemed, Recycled and Reloved.
The live edge they end up having reminds me of trees….in all their natural glory.
I made a home for this incredible Morrisonite Jasper stone in that 5R design, including a live edge band hand stamped with the ‘grounded’ sentiment and a mountain range and tall tree.
The chunky ring measures 3/4” wide and 1 1/4” tall with a size 8.5 measuring 9/16” wide (just over 1/2” at the back.
